I am having a Christmas wedding in 2020. I am making glittered Christmas ornaments as a present with a sticko snowflake ❄️ and a ribbon. They are so cute.

Its making me realise I could do this for a business. We have a very similar background. I also worked in graphics, then photography, then for a beauty company in sales, then into sales and account management. I feel same, they were mostly fine but sales has started to feel crushing and not creative at all. I need a new start

Then my ideas moved to cake decorating, but that was NOT for me. I’ve been thinking about wedding planner because it sounds fun and I would love to be that when I grow up. It would be my dream, and if anyone has tips or advise, please share.

I started a wedding website this year. After writing the software and going through all the legal stuff, I finally got the site up. After about a month of advertising I still haven't sold my product to anyone. Is there any way you could evaluate what I am doing wrong, or not doing correct? Being a DJ 19 years now, I agree with a lot of what you said! Now, it is 2018, and I think that there are more low priced DJ options that are offering a better quality service than there were in 2011 and prior to that though. Just being honest, there seems to be a lot of $300 to $500 (maybe $600 - $800 in cases where the wedding is 6 hours or longer contract time) DJs in my area who can be found on sites like Thumbtack or Gig Masters that have 50+ or even 100+ very good online reviews of their services. They likely are not providing the same light show, or high end audio gear, or attention to detail, or quality of service as $1,200+ DJs typically provide, but it seems their clients are very satisfied with 90% of these DJs at their price points. I think the market has changed a bit over the past 7 years, and lower priced options who are giving a fair to good quality service seem to be more accessible today than back in 2011 and prior to that. ...I'm also a $1,200+ Wedding DJ, so I'm just speaking honestly about what I am noticing in my market. ....Of course I don't want to lose business to low priced DJs over my statement, but times are certainly changing, and while 5+ years ago I would believe that most low priced DJs were garbage, and not worth the money at all, it seems that today that may not be the case any more (at least in my market) .

Thank you so much for the insight. I have been curious on how to start out and how much to really charge. I think I will just go a long with my gut. I had basically planned my whole wedding under two months and still have people come to saying it was the most beautiful wedding they had been to. I realized how much I miss seeing everything together like it did.

I picked out the rose dress for my sister when we went wedding dress shopping for her. She ended up with an Oleg Cassini dress that looked amazing in her but the rise dress looked amazing on her.
